Here’s a great story from Jemma Briland which will provide some great “ex back advice”. When you read this you will notice she is applying one of the key rules to getting your ex back.

Hi Pat,

When you were helping me out you said that it might be useful for others if I told my story so I thought I’d send it to you.

When my boyfriend and I broke up, I drove all of my friends crazy because I wanted their best ex back advice. Believe me, if you constantly speak about your ex, your friends will scatter when they see you coming. Someone who is upset about a break up is definitely not fun to be around. You are depressing, you are sad, you are a former shell of the fun person they used to be.

Soon, I started to realize that asking everyone for their best ex back advice was working against me. Not only that but all of this desperation was getting back to my ex in ways I never imagined. So what was my next step? I knew that I loved Chad and I wanted to get back together with him, but there really had to be more to life than trying to seek out ex back advice.

I decided to look out for number one for a while – me, that is. As much as I loved Chad, I realized that asking around for ex back advice was making me a person that no one wanted to be around. Instead, I started going out with my girlfriends on fun outings. Something I never would have dreamed of doing in the past. We went out shopping, we went to movies, we went to the bar. I danced with other guys at the bar and had a really good time.

All the while, Chad was still on my mind, but I really couldn’t let on that I was broken inside, I just wanted my ex boyfriend back. I refrained from asking my friends about their ex back advice, because I knew this would make them not want to be around me anymore. Instead, I did my best to put Chad out of my mind and get on with my life. I even started jogging. When I run, I can clear my head, and I can think clearly. As an added bonus, I am starting to firm up all over.

One day, the oddest thing happened. Chad called me. I was over the moon, but my best ex back advice to you at this point in the story is not to show that excitement. He wanted to get together for coffee, I was a little bit aloof, and told him to call me the following week because I was busy. When we finally connected, he was blown away by how great I looked and wanted to get back together. We are taking it slow, but things are awesome!
